What have we learned today?

Published by marinewife at 7:03 pm under Military Edit This

So, my husband was supposed to deploy either yesterday or today.  The flight window was through May 2nd.  So, I took off a few days at work (which was quite the headache and it another story altoghether).  And I am supposed to be taking a week to go back home to the Midwest to visit family from May 6th-14th or there about.

So…

Now his flight is moved for May 7th sometime.  Which means that I will not be able to see him leave which is going to be hard.  After thinking about it, too, I think that it is probably going to be hard for him, too because I probably will not see him the day that he leaves.  Yell

I would not say that I am angry or frustrated but I was hoping for a little more stability.

I have started to try to figure out what I am going to do to keep busy, occupied and sane while my better half is away.

I enjoy going to yardsales and antiquing and such and I found some fun websites that might be interesting to people who live in my area.  We are close to Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC and Cherry Point in Havelock, NC.  There are two websites that are like smaller versions of Ebay and have yardsales posted that are intersting and should definately be checked out!

Also, as my husband and one of his friends were putting a car in storage, a very nice gentleman who is a Vietnam veteran stopped and gave us a card.  So, anyone who is around this area in eastern North Carolina should definately check it out:

It sounds like it will be fun!

So what have we learned today?

That a soldier is not gone until the plane has left the ground and a soldier is not back he/she is home.
